China has gained considerable importance as an economic location due to its increasing market-economy orientation, and is a key player in the world economy today. With 15 million inhabitants in the city itself and another 8 million inhabitants in the numerous surrounding urban districts located up to 50 kilometres away, Shanghai is one of the largest cities in the world and the most important industrial city in the People's Republic of China.
In view of this development, DMAN decided in 2007 to establish a representative office in Shanghai. Its tasks include the establishment of contacts with Chinese companies, administrations, associations and chambers and the continuous development of DMAN's cooperation with Chinese partner organisations.
DMAN offers qualification programmes for Chinese business and administration executives. Preferably, these programmes will take place in Celle so that they can be enhanced by company visits to German companies and/or visits to trade fairs in Hanover. The representative office supports the market entry activities of German companies on the Chinese market. Thereby, DMAN contributes to the promotion of foreign trade relations between Lower Saxony and China on both sides.
German companies are invited to contact us if they plan to enter the Chinese market. Our Shanghai colleagues will be happy to share their knowledge and help them to establish business contacts on site. A special offer in this context is our Business Support Shanghai.
